I saw a lot of egg rings on the web & in stores. I thought a non-stick set would be best but it turns out that these stainless steel ones worked the best. I think it is because they conduct heat better. You do need to use a no-stick cooking spray. I was able to just lift the rings right off of the eggs - USE TONGS! Preheat the rings in the pan - this will reduce or eliminate leakage around the bottom. I found that my "less than expensive" pans weren't evenly flat but the eggs rings are, so I can't blame the rings for occasional small leaks.
